What is Outbound Prospecting?


Outbound prospecting is the process in which sales development professionals perform outreach to targeted prospects. The ultimate goal is to share the company's value proposition and generate a qualified lead or secure a scheduled sales meeting for the sales team. Generally, this kind of outreach is referred to as “cold outreach.” This means the lead or prospect being contacted didn’t indicate their interest in your company before the sales team reached out.
